We have successfully converted a Powakaddy Touch from its
slide action to a straight forward switched potentiometer.
A customer bought in a Powakaddy Touch trolley which had a
jammed handle and also no power to the motor. Once stripped down and tested it was
found that the control box had blown and further diagnosis showed the trolley
would need a new control box and a sliding potentiometer unit…..an expensive
repair !!!
After consultation with the customer we agreed that the most
cost effective solution would be to fit a new control box and convert the
handle to a rigid unit incorporating a standard switched potentiometer. This conversion not only saved the customer
money but then enable the trolley to operate in a standard and more manageable
way.
